I live in Normandy with my animal mad family plus 3 horses, cat, chickens and elderly pet pig.
I got my first horse, Pastisse at 12 and we both went to boarding school in Wiltshire (along with Polo, my pet white rabbit). Stonar School specialised in riding and I probably put more effort into my equestrian skills than my academic ones! I have competed at local shows for many years, and also hold a variety of equine qualifications.
I have a passion for our native breeds and own a Dale Pony Waterside Peter, A Dartmoor Hill pony Pablo and a cob x sports horse Bear.
After an 11 year career in International banking, I decided to swap commuter life for country life. Hooves was established in 1999, initially as a mobile livery service but we quickly progressed into Hooves Paws and More to include care for dogs, cats, rodents, birds and livestock …… In fact anything furry, feathered or scaly with a pulse. Tracey joined me in 2007, followed by Emma in late 2013.
Likening people’s pets to children (and having endured the traumas of childcare) I understand the concerns of owners whilst away from home. I endeavour to maintain regular contact with all my clients and to establish a good fun and trusting relationship with the owners and the animals that are in my care.
